Like any normal spring day, a mare had come into labor, her name was Ciro, Queen of the fruitful, ever prosperous lands called Argyle. Her sleek ebony hide was dampened with a layer of perspiration. There alongside her stood Odysseus, King of Argyle. The birth was normal, a dark charcoal hued filly. As most black foals, she was expected to grow into a snowy white coat, just as her Sire.
