THE BEGINNING OF TIME
The Introduction.
At this time in life, horses were used for common tasks in everyday life. They did not resist, and some seemed to enjoy what they did. Each day, the family horse pulled the carriage to town and delivered his family for their errands. Later, he would be taken home and given his dinner before falling asleep and waking to repeat the process. Also, horses had become a sport. Used to race against each other as cheering humans stood on guard, screaming in delight for their favorite member of the race, and booing as they lost great deals of money in the bets on the ones who did not win. They seemed to be able to do almost anything: jump hurdles, race endurance, compete in dressage tests, teach children and adults the art of horse-back riding, and pull Amish buggies. But... the horses had an intelligence that the humans lacked. That every creature in the universe lacked. Except the equine...
Thousands of years passed. Hoover cars were invented, and global warming had not destroyed the Earth. It was thriving, and with each year, the humans grew weaker. Every species on the planet began to die. Beginning with that of the rainforests and mountains, then spreading into the oceans and leaving the sandy bottoms bare. Soon enough, only humans and horses remained. The humans seemed to be amazed that the equine species was not dying. When the end of all life upon this planet had begun, horses had not seemed to flinch. A few years passed; every human being in Asia and Europe had died with a horrible epidemic. Soon enough, Australia and North America lost all of their residents. Following soon after, merely five months, South America and Antarctica lost everyone... Nothing remained upon the Earth but the horses. They would strive, and their powers began to grow, soon enough they had begun to communicate among themselves.
In the summer seasons of 9002, a horrible Earth quake shook the planet. The ground broke from under every horse's hooves, and they were swallowed, along with everything that had been created by man, into the depths of the Earth. Hell itself resided in the darkness and massive depths of the unknown. Each creature was passed effortlessly through a check system, and the weak were destroyed. Xurd, a goblin within Hell, led the remaining of the equine species into the chambers of Middle Earth, and to meet his ruler: Satan. The horses could not understand their language, all for one stallion that is. This bay stallion, named Kodzuu, did not understand how he understood Sakot, the language in Middle Earth, though did not deny Satan his attention. He was fearful for his life.
Kodzuu soon learned that he was destined to be able to understand their speech, and only he could. Xurd explained to him that he was chosen before he was born to be, the chosen one. The one that Satan would use to rule Earth. Kodzuu, once returning to the holding chamber where Satan was holding the entire equine species, was horrified to find that Satan had begun the Decay Lung epidemic within the herds, and most of the horses had died in only the span of two days in which he had been gone. He begged Xurd to reverse the disease, the save the remaining few horses, to save his species. Though he was denied. And all but one small black mare was killed... Her name: Tuli.
