The sky falls down over my head as I step onto the turf widely known as the claiming lands. I look to the west, to the east. The sun was darkening rapidly. The pink sky is portrayed with streaks of pink, and smudges of stormy black. A cautious stallion scouts around, looking nervously in all directions.
“Lay off it Glacier”I lay a sharp nip on his hind as he snarls at me.
“I’m a’sorry. I just don’t want any stupid stallion laying his eyes all over you”He told me in a strong country accent. I look at him, sigh and shake my head smiling. I barge past him gently, and call out. I stick my chest out, advertising for any guy who thought they were stallion enough.
