Pillairs of ebony carried the stag through the dense forests of his homelands, occuli spotting out creatures of darkness, and light. The mares around here were pathetic, always wanting a stallion toclaim them, I wanted someone nice witha sense of humor and good attitude to be in my herd. I didn't want to make them my slave.
I was not in look for a lead mare, no, that I could hold off on. True love was somehting that you found, not went looking for. I needed a herd though, mares for that matter and having successfully defended myself back in the homelands I was sure that I could defend them. My terra was large and could accomidate many mares, that of which made claiming them easier. I had not to fight with the bachelors, when givin a choice mares would most likely choose the larger home, and stronger stallion. Than live in a bachelor terra with one stallion and maybe one other mare, but who knew what went on in a mares mind. Mares I guess.
I lifted my dial in pride, I was one proud stallion, strong and wise I was one mess with. Tassels blowing in the breeze, a warm breeze. I exited the walls of my terra and made my way into the claiming grounds. The forests slowly growing lighter and trees farther spread apart. The humidity also faded and became slightly colder. As I made my way farther I had to lift my hocks higher, the rocky grounds of the terra being my only obstacle.
Finally, aquiring my position in the outskirts of the large grassy meadow I slowed my pace to a walk and stopped, auds forward and eyes intent. Although no mares appeared in my vision, out there many of them probably ranged, homeless. I picked up my pace again trotting out into the feild and lowering my head, attempting to pick up a scent, although my nares picked up none. I lifted my dial again tossing it and half rearing.
I cantered around in a circle, leaving imprints on the ground of large heavy hooves. Finally coming to a halt I pushed down and reared up. Flinging out my ebonies and shaking my dial, letting a whinny escape my chasm. I crashed back to ground and called again, calling for mares.
