Like any normal spring day, a mare had come into labor, her name was Ciro, Queen of the fruitful, ever prosperous lands called Argyle. Her sleek ebony hide was dampened with a layer of perspiration. There alongside her stood Odysseus, King of Argyle. The birth was normal, a dark charcoal hued filly. As most black foals, she was expected to grow into a snowy white coat, just as her Sire. The name of the royal heiress hadn't yet been chosen for her dam had gone back into labor. It was highly rare for twins and even if the twins were born, very few times did they both survive. The second was a dark grey with dapples
