Biekati
Nestled in the heart of Scotia is the land of Biekati. For centuries deer and herla of all kinds have formed herds in the highlands, middlelands, and the lowlands. The land was surrounded by mountains and forests that discouraged humans from entering. Thus a sanctuary for the herla was formed. Humans stayed on their side and herla stayed on their side. It was the order of things. On one spring day two twin bucks where born. Sirrocio came out first. His pelt was light golden brown like the honey from bees. His portals where amber and his mug was dipped in ebony. His twin, Ralichen, on the otherhand was a richer and darker brown much like chocolate. His portals where a deep emerald and his mug was ebony dipped. Both whitetails the twins would grow for the next few years not knowing the chaos that would insue.
As twins the hind tended to favor the younger one more. She babied the gentle fawn and let him nurse longer than the older. As the days and months drug by the younger would no longer be babied. They grew and eventually began to grow crowns upon their crania's. Sirrocio by his fifth rotation was holding a proud and mighty skull of pointed towers. Yet Ralichen was holdling his own proud crania of pointed towers. During the year all bucks would challenge and fight over hinds and who would lead. Ralichen and Sirrocio both had the longing to rule the herd deep within their beating hearts. Sirrocio challenged all of the males in battles for the right to be lead. After he defeated the last excitement filled his body. He thought he would be lead, but Ralichen stepped forth to challenge his twin. Sirrocio was angered at his brother's challenge and readily aggreed. The honey colored stag charged forth with his crowned crania bared to his brother. Ralichen met his attack with his lowered towers and pushed against his brother. Weakened by the previous fights Sirrocio found himself giving way under the might of Ralichen. The darker stag lifted himself up on his rear pistons. Sirrocio felt his brother lift his daggers from the turf and struggled. Using all the strength he could summon, the honey stag broke loose. Panting from the excertion of energy he stood motionless trying to catch his breath. The ground rumbled and shook as a beast with lowered crania charged towards him. The darker stag barreled into his brother knocking him off his daggers and to the dirt. Sirrocio laid their for a few minutes before he rose. By then the herd accepted Ralichen as its leader and Sirrocio was lost the the world.
For three years Ralichen ruled the herd generously and kindly. The stag never forced a thing upon his harem. Sirrocio had disappeared the whole while. Anger and hate forced him to leave and find his own home, and he did. Up in the highlands Sirrocio found a fierce deadly herd to comand. With treachery and bitter resentment in his heart he lead the herd to Ralichen. By larn Sirrocio and his army arrived at the Middleland herd. Ralichen greeted his brother with open arms and offered him and his 'gaurds' a place to rest and refresh. Sirrocio had other ideas. With a flick of his tail, he signalled his army to surround the stag. Brave at heart, Ralichen took the offensive. He battered and rammed the fiends that tried to take him down. Sirrocio was watching and waiting for his brother to turn from him. And as he did the sharp crown of the honey pierce the hide of the darker. A mighty bellow erupted from the depths of the wounded stag. He crumbled to the earth below and layed their panting as red paint spilled from his wounds. The dirt became a red mud as his liquid pooled beside him. The world swirled around his eyes as it began to blacken. Before his life ended he saw a dagger speeding towards his neck.
After the death of Ralichen his herd split up. Some ran to the highlands, others to middle and lowlands. The story of his betrayal and death was never told for only those who where their knew. Ralichen's herd assumed he was taken by humans or killed by wolves.
